According to a statement from the ministry, residents of cantonments, including families of military services members, will have access to well-established and time-tested Ayurvedic medicines.
The memorandums of understanding were inked during a three-day Global Ayush Investment and Innovation Summit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Ayurveda is spreading its reach across the world significantly.
Further, the scientifically proven efficacy has enhanced the credibility of the Ayurveda stream globally
The center aims to combine traditional and modern approaches
Ayurveda Centers will be established in Agra, Dalhousie, Jhansi, Jammu, and Jalandhar cantonments, as well as other facilities like as Base Hospital in Delhi. Ayush Ministry would be providing skilled Ayush doctors and pharmacists to Cantonment Hospitals and Defense Ministry would be providing Ayush doctors and pharmacists to major military hospitals
In Gujarat’s Jamnagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the World Health Organization’s Global Centre for Traditional Medicine. It is an acknowledgement of India’s contribution and potential in this industry, according to him. The centre aims to combine traditional and modern approaches, during the opening occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the crowd, which included World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus.
