Details Of New Lord Ram Lalla Idol, Depicts All Significant Sanatan Dharma Symbols

A special idol of Lord Ram Lalla is making headlines as it is set to be consecrated on January 22 by the Prime Minister. This idol is considered one of the most detailed depictions of Lord Ram, showcasing various divine elements.

Upon close inspection, the idol reveals intricate details, featuring Lord Hanuman at one foot and Lord Garuda at the other. Additionally, all 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu, such as Krishna, Parshuram, Kalki, and Narsingh, are depicted on both sides of the idol. These representations hold significant importance in Hinduism.

Special Placement of Devotee and Mount

The idol pays tribute to Lord Hanuman, the devoted follower of Lord Ram, placed near the right foot. On the other side, Lord Garuda, who serves as the mount of Lord Vishnu, is positioned near the left foot of the Ram idol. This arrangement symbolizes the revered relationship between these divine entities.

At the top of the statue, symbols sacred to Sanatan Dharma and Hinduism are depicted. These include the Swastik, the Om sign, the Chakra, Gada, Shankh, and the Surya Narayan aabhamandal around the idol’s face. Each of these symbols holds spiritual significance and is closely associated with Lord Vishnu and Lord Ram.

The idol, crafted from black stone by sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, portrays a five-year-old Lord Ram and stands at a height of 51 inches. In its right hand, the idol is depicted giving blessings (aashirwaad) and holding an arrow, while the left hand holds a bow (dhanush). This pose is a unique representation of Lord Ram’s divine attributes.

About the Sculptor and Idol’s Characteristics

Arun Yogiraj, the skilled sculptor, is known for creating famous statues like that of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath and Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate in Delhi. The black stone used for the idol ensures its longevity, with a lifespan of several hundred years. Interestingly, the idol is not affected by water, Chandan, or roli, which are commonly applied to idols in Hindu traditions. The idol will be adorned with bright royal clothes and a crown (mukut).

This new Lord Ram Lalla idol is not just a statue; it’s a masterpiece that intricately captures the essence of divinity, showcasing the devotion and craftsmanship of its creator, Arun Yogiraj.

How Ram Lalla Came to Ayodhya

Ram Lalla’s journey to Ayodhya started from Karnataka, where it was made. On January 16, we got a peek at it when it arrived in a truck. They showed it again on January 18 and 19, but they kept the idol’s eyes covered. The big reveal will happen on January 22, and our Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be a part of it. He will take off the cloth covering the idol’s eyes and put something special on them.

As we wait for this exciting day, let’s remember that Ram Lalla is not just a statue; it’s like a special symbol that brings people together in faith and love. The person who made it put a lot of care into every detail, and soon we will see the idol in all its glory on January 22!
