Chhattisgarh Sends 300 Tons Of Rice For Ram Lalla’s Bhog ,Prasad

Get ready, Ayodhya! The grand opening of the Ram Mandir is getting closer, and preparations are in full swing, not just in Uttar Pradesh but across India. Chhattisgarh, known as the “rice bowl” of India, is sending a special gift: 300 tons of aromatic rice for Ram Lalla’s Bhog (food offering) and Bhandara (community feast) on January 22nd.

As per various news reports, a grand Bhandara will be organised in Ayodhya on January 22, for which Chhattisgarh has sent tons of rice by the Rice Millers Association which included the best variety of rice. 

From Nanihal to Ayodhya: A Blessed Offering

Chhattisgarh is considered Lord Ram’s “Nanihal” (maternal grandparents’ home). Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai feels honored to contribute to the consecration ceremony with this special rice offering. They chose RB Gold, a fragrant local variety, to represent the state at this momentous event.

Remembering Kaushalya Devi and Ram’s Journey

Chandkhuri near Raipur is believed to be the birthplace of Kaushalya Devi, Lord Ram’s mother. A unique temple dedicated to her stands there, the only one of its kind in the world. And according to tradition, Lord Ram spent part of his 14-year exile in Chhattisgarh. In fact, the state government is developing a “Ram Gaman Path” to retrace his journey. This path will connect 248 locations associated with Lord Ram, Sita, and Laxman during their exile.
