Why were these apps outlawed?
These 54 apps were banned for allegedly obtaining sensitive user data and obtaining key permissions. Data collected in real time is being abused and is being sent to servers in hostile countries.
What apps have been banned outright?

Garena Free Fire was created in Singapore by a non-Chinese developer. This game was one of the most popular in India in the year 2021. It had filled the void left by the ban of PUBG Mobile in September 2020. In India, the software was already deleted from the App Store and Play Store.
Background
In June 2021, India imposed a ban on 59 Chinese smartphone applications, including popular social media platforms including as TikTok, WeChat, and Helo, on the grounds that they posed a threat to India’s sovereignty and security.
Since the commencement of border tensions with China in May 2020, India has blacklisted 321 apps. Following the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers in a skirmish with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh, India announced the first wave of prohibitions in June 2020.
