- Purity/fineness grade (e.g., 22K916 for 22-karat gold)
- Six-digit alphanumeric HUID (Hallmark Unique Identification)
- Jeweller’s identification mark
- Assaying and hallmarking centre’s mark

- Look for the HUID: A unique 6-digit alphanumeric code laser-marked on the jewellery.
- Use the BIS Care App:
- Available on Android and iOS.
- Enter the HUID to verify authenticity and jeweller registration.
- Ask for a Bill with Hallmarking Details: A reputable jeweller will always provide a detailed invoice.
