Apple flagship iPhone13 has begun production at its contract manufacturer Foxconn’s factory in Chennai.”We’re thrilled to start producing iPhone 13 in India for our Indian customers, with its striking design, improved camera systems for great photographs and videos, and the incredible performance of the A15 Bionic chip,” says Apple.
Foxconn manufactures the iPhone 11, 12, and 13. Apple’s other contract manufacturer in Bengaluru, Wistron; produces the iPhone 12 and SE, SE1 models.A food poisoning incident at the Foxconn facility in Chennai sparked labour discontent last year. Foxconn management stated that it was taking corrective action following the engagement of the State government and Apple.
