Renewable Energy: The Future is Now

Introduction
As the times are getting more advanced, there is a need for a smart supply of energy sources that would provide clean energy for meeting daily energy requirements. This is why renewable sources of energy are gathering the most attention when the ideas are claiming for energy sources that provide very little to zero emissions of pollutants into the surrounding air. Renewable sources of energy are the ultimate hopes that would help to transform the world into a productively better place.

Renewable energy provides a safer future

A large chunk of the greenhouse gases that surround the Earth and trap the heat from the sun is generated through the energy production processes, by the burning of fossil fuels to generate electricity and heat. Fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and gas, are the largest contributors to global climate changes due to the production and release of large amounts of greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide into the Earth’s atmosphere.

To avoid the worst impacts of climate change, these emissions need to be reduced. To achieve this goal, there is a strong need to end all reliance on fossil fuels and to invest more in alternative sources of energy that are comparatively clean, accessible, affordable, sustainable, and reliable. The renewable sources of energy which are available in abundance all around that are provided by the sun, wind, water, waste, and heat from the Earth are replenished by nature and these emit little or no greenhouse gases or several types of potential pollutants into the air. Fossil fuels occupy a prominent place in the generation of global energy but cleaner sources of energy are gaining ground in recent days.

Benefits of Renewable Energy

1. Renewable energy sources are all around us
Most of the global population lives in countries that are importers of fossil fuels and this probes tremendous shocks to the global temperature and the global climatic conditions. Renewable sources of energy offer a way out of these import dependencies on fossil fuels, thereby, allowing more and more countries to diversify their overall economic conditions and to protect themselves from the unpredictable price swings of fossil fuels, along with experiencing economic growth, new jobs, and the eradication of poverty.

2. Renewable energy is cheaper
Renewable energy is the cheapest option for energy generation in most parts of the world in recent times. Prices for the different renewable energy technologies are dropping at a rapid rate. Falling global prices for these energy sources make renewable energy more attractive even for the low and middle-income generating countries, where most of the additional demands for new electricity come from. With these falling costs, there is an opportunity for this much-needed power supply over the upcoming years.

3. Renewable energy is healthier
The unhealthy levels of fine particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide in the surrounding air originate mainly from the burning of fossil fuels. Switching to clean sources of energy, such as wind and solar energy, helps one to address not only climate change but also helps to deal with air pollution and its health hazards.

4. Renewable energy creates jobs
Renewable sources of energy employ people who would help in the overall processes that are involved in the production of renewable sources of energy and their distribution including several other processes that are related to renewable sources of energy. Ensuring a just transition, placing the needs and rights of people at the heart of the energy transition, will be a very good decision to make sure that no one is left behind.

5. Renewable energy makes economic sense
The investments in renewable energy will pay off the large number of economic hurdles that the countries have faced to implement renewable sources of energy. Efficient and reliable renewable technologies can create a system that is less prone to market shocks and this will help to improve resilience and energy security by diversifying the power supply options.

Conclusion

The use of renewable sources of energy will provide new demands in the overall sectors that surround it and it is expected that the outcomes would be in a positive direction that would help in the proper development all over the world. The new sources of energy will lead to a turn that would benefit the human race as a whole.
