IIT is the dream college for most of engineering aspiring students in India and everyone is aware of how hard it gets into IIT’s it is not an easy task but not impossible. All that this journey demands is persistence. Many people from very different backgrounds start their preparations as early as 6th standard it does make them stronger in their basics but it doesn’t mean it is not possible to clear the exams by starting your preparation from class 11. Competition is the main criteria in the journey to reach IIT, the exam is designed in a way to filter most of the students it includes clearing JEE Mains and then clearing JEE Advanced, and the criteria to qualify for these exams varies, and to be ahead of your peers you must be consistent and do not lose your hope and stop your effort. And now the question comes how? How to start the preparation in class11 are:
1)A proper schedule: As mentioned persistence is the secret to JEE journey and a proper schedule and its implementation is the most important thing. A schedule that is flexible but rigid, which includes taking care of your health because you cannot compromise your health during JEE preparation. Making a schedule according to your needs while considering the times of your coaching and school (if any). All of the subjects must be studied every day according to the timetable. It will be easier to understand if you read the subjects on the day they are taught in class and work on the corresponding problems. Going along with the instructional tempo at your school is not required. If you clearly comprehended the prior topic, you may move on to the next one. You must really adhere to your schedule. It’s crucial to take breaks between study sessions to clear your mind. Make sure you schedule break times.
2)Know your strengths and work on your weakness: Not every student preparing for JEE is good at all three subjects. It is important to analyze which topics or subjects you are good at and which ones you are facing trouble. Perfect knowledge about this gives an idea of where you need to work and if you can, you can spend extra time on the topics with which you are struggling. A smart approach always works. The analysis says that 30% of the syllabus can produce 70% marks in JEE Advance. And clearing Mains doesn’t have subject cutoff so you can use this loophole to gain more marks in the subject you are strong.
3) Proper study materials: NCERT is considered one of the best books if you need to make your basics strong there are many books in the market but what is important is you need to follow one book and not jump from book to book because it creates confusion. And it is important to write your own notes because during last-minute revision your notes can do wonders. There are certain things you must know that both Mains and advanced the modal of questions are different. In advanced, there is the application of multiple topics in one question whereas mains focus on a single topic. And there are certain topics that are not included in Advance and vice versa it is important to have proper knowledge about the syllabus.
4)Take help from experts: A good teacher can change the way you see your failing subject by prospering in your strong subject. After all the things discussed it is important to understand the topics and a teacher guide is the most important one. Choose any coaching institute, or online courses and take all the help needed.
5)Stay consistent: One must remember that during the 2-year journey of JEE, not everyday, not every exam you write is going to be positive you are going to face a lot of challenges. Maintaining and continuously your schedule is one of the toughest ones to overcome. But being consistent and keeping all other things aside is the only way to set you aside from everyone and make you stand out.
Your achievement tells the world how hard you worked but the process of preparation tells you how hard it is to stay motivated to achieve a task. Whether you fail or succeed in securing a seat in one of the prestigious institutes of India, you will always have your JEE journey reminding you of your capability and capacity, do your best and the outcome always would be positive in the end.
