The Prime Minister of India will surprise the Air Force of India, with the best present ever on the occasion of the birthday of Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi . Rani Lakshmi Bai Jayanti is celebrated on 19th November every year . PM Modi is going to hand over the country's first indigenous attack 'Light Combat Helicopter' to the Indian Air Force . In fact, the Ministry of Defense is going to celebrate the ‘राष्ट्रीय रक्षा समर्पण पर्व’ in Jhansi from 17-19 November. Under this event, many army programs will be organized in Jhansi.

15 year wait is over
The making of LCH indigenous attack helicopter started after the Kargil war. During this time India did not have its indigenous attack helicopter. These helicopters could destroy enemy bunkers by flying at a height of 15-16 thousand feet. However, this project was approved in the year 2006 and after the long wait of 15 years this light combat helicopter is ready to defend India.

Features of indigenous attack helicopter
• The LCH helicopter is very light in weight. This 6-ton helicopter can easily do takeoff and landing by being equipped with other weapons.
• This helicopter can have air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles.
• The most important thing is that the LCH has such stealth features that, it can’t be caught easily in the radar of any enemy
• If the enemy or any fighter jet tries to lock its missile in the LCH, it will dodge it.
• The trial has been done from the Siachen Glacier to the desert of Rajasthan.

It’s really interesting to know that America’s advanced attack helicopter Apache cannot take off and land on the peaks of Siachen and Kargil . As LCH is light weighted and have unique rotors, it can carry out its missions even on such high peaks .

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited prepared Light Combat Helicopter
Light Combat Helicopter has been developed by Hindustan Aeronautical Limited, the largest and most trusted public sector unit of India's defense sector. According to HAL officials, the LCH has such stealth features that it will not easily catch the enemy's radar. If an enemy helicopter or fighter jet locks its missile on the LCH, it can also dodge it. Its body is armored so that there will be no significant effect of firing on it. Even the bullet will not have any effect on the rotors. Trial of these indigenous LCH helicopters has been done from Siachen Glacier to the desert of Rajasthan before being fully prepared for the Indian Air Force.
