PM Modi to lay foundation stone of ₹ 29,000 Crore project in Gujarat this week

During his two-day visit to poll-bound Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express and the Ahmedabad Metro rail, as well as lay the groundwork for several projects worth more than 29,000 crore.

According to an official statement, the projects are spread across Surat, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, and Ambaji and aim to develop world-class infrastructure while also improving mobility and ease of living. Prime Minister Modi will also attend the Navratri festival in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat will hold assembly elections later this year, with the ruling BJP aiming for a landslide victory and extending its winning streak in the state that began in 1995.

Development projects

The total cost of the projects to be inaugurated in Surat exceeds 3,400 crore. PM Modi will lay the groundwork and launch a slew of development projects totaling over Rs 5,200 crore in Bhavnagar.

The Ahmedabad Metro Phase-I project is one of the infrastructure projects that PM Modi will inaugurate. He will also be the first to board the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express.

The statement said the Prime Minister will also take a ride on the Vande Bharat Express to Kalupur railway station on September 30.

He will ride the metro from Kalupur station to Doordarshan Kendra station after officially launching the Ahmedabad Metro rail project. PM Modi will also lay the groundwork for the world's first CNG terminal in Bhavnagar and declare open the 36th National Games, which are being held in Gujarat for the first time.

The Prime Minister will also be inaugurating Phase I of DREAM City, a project designed to complement Surat's rapid growth in the diamond trading business.

He will also lay the groundwork for a broad gauge railway line, making it easier for pilgrims to travel to Ambaji. PM Modi will pay his respects at the Ambaji temple. He'll also be at Gabbar Tirtha for Maha Aarti.

According to the statement, PM Modi will lay the foundation stones and dedicate development projects to the nation worth over ₹ 7,200 crore in Ambaji.
