Inspiration behind new jersey of the Indian Champions; Check Here

On Sunday, September 18, Team India’s jersey for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 was unveiled. The jersey was revealed on Twitter by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The front of the jersey has light tones of Azure Blue, while the sleeves have dark tones of Royal Blue.

The jersey features shades of the iconic and fan-favorite blue colour for a fitting look for the game’s champions. The Men in Blue will wear the same jersey in the upcoming T20I series against Australia and South Africa.

Inspiration behind the new jersey

“The jersey pays homage to the legions of fans that span different genders and age groups, and transcend geographical borders,” the kit sponsor said in a release. “It is styled with a pattern of equilateral triangles – a universal symbol of the blend of energy, spirit and power – that celebrates the unswerving support of the fans who have stood behind the team through thick and thin,” it added.

The photos posted by the BCCI on their official social media accounts included Indian captain Rohit Sharma, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav. Women’s cricketers such as Renuka Singh and captain Harmanpreet Kaur were among the players in the picture.

Meanwhile, India will face Australia in a T20I series beginning on September 20. The series will begin with a match in Mohali. Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah will both be available for the Men in Blue. Similarly, Umesh Yadav, an express pacer, has been named to the squad as a replacement for Mohammed Shami.

Talking about the visiting team, skipper Aaron Finch is in desperate need of runs and this could be his make-or-break series. The right-handed batter has not been able to
get going in the international circuit for quite some time and he will want to have a good outing with the bat in the upcoming series.
