Education Ministry creates “Naye Bharat Ka Naya curriculum” and seeks public opinion



The Ministry of Education is developing the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). This is part of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, under which the government plans to improve curricula in schools and colleges. While there are discussions among ministries and other experts, the government is also seeking public input on what they think should be included in the manual.

Taking to Twitter, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Development of a vibrant, dynamic, inclusive and futuristic National Curriculum Framework is essential for integrating cultural-rootedness along with global outlook, freeing education from colonial hangover and instilling a deeper sense of pride in our next generations.” He added, “appeal to all citizens to participate in the Citizen Survey for NCF for developing #NayeBharatKaNayaCurriculum”

I urge all citizens to participate in citizen survey for NCF to develop #NayeBharatKaNayaCur Program. A dynamic national program framework aligned with NEP 2020 will play a key role in achieving Viksit Bharat’s goals.

Focus on key areas

Recently, the Ministry of Education held a meeting with senior officials from all ministries and departments including NCERT, Election Commission of India, ICAR and DRDO in which the new NCF was discussed. Among the sessions included the rapid development of technology, the need to innovate and generate new ideas, the need to focus on key areas such as climate change, the need for future capabilities, important factors for India’s agricultural and knowledge growth, particularly in these areas. where India is at the forefront of instilling a sense of pride, assistive technology for inclusion.

To decide what may or may not be part of the NCF, more than 700 state expert groups in the states and union territories on cross-cutting topics and topics have been established. 25 National expert groups including international experts. The collected contributions are rigorously analyzed, in order to draw the best from them, to be included by the steering committee, with the authorization team and the NCERT in the development of the NCF.

The development of the NCF is guided by the National Steering Committee (NSC), chaired by Dr. K Kasturangan, and supported by the Delegation Group, as well as the National Council for Research and Education Create Education (NCERT).

The NCF includes the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE), the National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Care & Education (NCFECCE), the National Curriculum 
Framework for Teacher Education (NCFTE), and the National Curriculum Framework for Adult Education (NCFAE).
