Electric Vehicle Fair will begin in Delhi from Aug 5; many new vehicles will be launched

The electric car fair will return to Delhi. EV Expo 2022 will be held from August 5 to 7 at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. Anurag Thakur, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sports, and Youth Affairs, will open the expo. EV Expo is in its 15th year. The event will take place in Pragati Maidan Hall No. 11. The expo will feature new electric vehicle technologies, components and services for electric vehicles, passenger and product convenience for the electric vehicle industry, and an eco-friendly environment.

Organized since 2015

Altius Auto Solutions Pvt Ltd organises EV Expo, India’s largest comprehensive trade show on electric vehicles, accessories, batteries, and charging solutions. From December 2015 to 2017, it was held in New Delhi and Kolkata. Since then, it has been held in Bangalore, Lucknow, and Hyderabad. This is the most important EV event which is held each year in the month of August.

Demand for EVs is increasing

According to Rajeev Arora, the organiser of EV Expo 2022, we are now witnessing an increasing adaptation and integration of electro-mobility into our lives around us compared to a few years ago. Electric vehicles have a high demand and potential in our country. There is a need to develop, encourage, and support the entire system, including vehicle manufacturers, batteries, components, accessories, finance, research and development, and services. Ivy Expo brings them all together under one roof. Many launches can be seen in these three days.

Initiatives to reduce dependence on crude oil

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, has dedicated EV Expo 2022. It is being organised in partnership with Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), and the International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT). Anuj Sharma, Chairman of the Government of India’s Committee on Electric Vehicles and Founder of EV Expo, stated that this is due to the high demand for hydrocarbon-based fuels, which are used in the majority of vehicles in India. We are spending a significant amount of foreign currency on crude oil imports. Electric vehicles are desperately needed to help us reduce our reliance on crude oil.
