Pooja Bhatt, an actor, and filmmaker has reacted to PETA India's award for being the first Indian director to 'pledge never to use animals in films.' Pooja shared photos of PETA India CEO Manilal Valliyate's letter to her on Twitter.

Dear Ms. Bhatt," the letter began. On behalf of Fish Eye Network, we are grateful to you for being the first director in the country to pledge never to use animals in films.

This commitment will undoubtedly serve as an inspiration to filmmakers all over the world, saving animals from suffering and injury on and off set."It continued, "As a token of our gratitude for your kindness to animals, we are delighted to present you with PETA India's Compassionate Film Production Company Award. Congratulations!"
