IPL 2022: Sunil Gavaskar believes this SRH pacer is in contention for India’s T20 World Cup

After two defeats in the first two matches of the IPL 2022, Hyderabad’s bowlers turned the tables for their team. SRH has won five of their last six games thanks to the efforts of their bowlers.

Umran Malik and T Natarajan are two standout names among their ranks

Both of them are among the top five wicket-takers this season. Umran has become the talk of the town due to his fast and furious bowling, whereas Natarajan goes about his business quietly.

Who is Umran Malik and T Natrajan?

Umran Malik, a right-arm fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir, is 22 years old. Abdul Rashid, his father, is a fruit seller, and his mother is a housewife. Umran used to compete in tennis-ball mates as a kid, and he used to win money.

He never had any formal cricket training

Thangarasu Natarajan (born 4 April 1991) is a cricketer from India. In December 2020, he made his international debut for India’s cricket team. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), he plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad, and in domestic cricket, he represents Tamil Nadu. When he played in India’s 2020–21 tour of Australia, he became the first Indian cricketer to make his international debut in all three formats on the same tour.

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar believes that T Natarajan, a yorker specialist, will be considered for Team India’s ICC T20 World Cup 2022 squad.

Natarajan is troubling batters in the IPL with toe-crushing yorkers and tidy bowling in the death overs. Gavaskar is pleased to see the left-arm SRH pacer improving his craft in the most exciting IPL season.

Gavaskar said on ‘Cricket Live’ on Star Sports: “He’s always been a yorker specialist, but what we’ve seen recently is his ability to move the ball late, deceiving batsmen.

So it’s encouraging to see Natarajan’s progress.”Natarajan, according to the legendary cricketer, could be a valuable addition to India’s pace attack in the T20s due to his ability to bowl with discipline in the death overs.
