Rozgaar Budget: The Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has always emphasized the importance of youngsters from the time his Aam Aadmi party first came to power in the state. CM Kejriwal has kept his pledge and prioritized the youth, whether it’s via education or job opportunities for the youngsters. Following this, now CM Kejriwal has termed the Delhi Budget as ‘Rozgaar Budget’, focusing on youth.

The Delhi Assembly has cleared the AAP government’s ‘Rozgar’ budget for the financial year 2022-23. The Rozgaar budget is worth Rs 75,800 crore. During the budget discussion, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said numerous policies outlined in the budget represented the Aam Aadi Party’s ideal of “hardcore patriotism, diehard honesty, and humanism”. CM Kejriwal termed the Delhi budget the country’s first ‘Rozgaar Budget,’ with employment as its core priority.

Rozgaar Budget: Aim to boost job opportunities

By strengthening the retail sector, redeveloping iconic marketplaces and industrial sites in non-conforming zones, startups, tourism, and promoting the night-time economy, the budget seeks to establish 20 lakh job opportunities in the next five years.

India’s first ‘Rozgaar Budget’

The Delhi budget, according to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is the country’s first ‘Rozgaar Budget,’ with employment as its core priority. The CM says, “Employment used to be the subject that was only highlighted during election campaigns, after that nobody used to address that issue”. He further added, for the first time since independence, a budget has been prepared that prioritizes employment.”

Delhi Budget for the fiscal year 2022-23

The budget was produced based on 6,500 suggestions received from Delhiites, according to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the Finance portfolio. Twelve individuals whose proposals were taken into account in the budget presentation were present in the session. Sisodia recognized their contributions by mentioning their names during the discussion.

“Our economic advisers held over 150 meetings with various groups and regulatory authorities. As a consequence, some of the most important suggestions, such as the redevelopment and restoration of the city’s historic markets, IT parks, startup policy, e-commerce boost, and the creation of new jobs through multiple channels, were included in the budget “Sisodia said.
