'ART FOR HOPE': CSR INITIATIVE BY HYUNDAI MOTOR TO SUPPORT ARTISTS, 25 INDIAN ARTISTS FELICITATED WITH RS.1 LAKH GRANT

Art connects us in a world that is divided into many fronts. In India, there is no dearth of skills and talents. Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the philanthropic arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd, honored these talents of the country under the ‘Art of Hope’ initiative. The company recognized 25 grantees of 'Art for Hope' at Bikaner House in New Delhi and granted them Rs. 1 lakh as a reward. The grant will be used for their projects, commissioned on themes of Hope, Solidarity, and Gratitude.

‘Art for Hope’: A specialized CSR program

Art for Hope is a specialized CSR program inspired by Hyundai's global objective of 'Progress for Humanity'. The initiative provides consistent support to art and cultural groups of the country. It aspires to promote and incentivize artists from a wide range of disciplines, including digital art, crafts, multidisciplinary art, performance arts, and visual arts.

'Art for Hope': 1 lakh grant to awardees

Hyundai Motors has honored 25 'Art for Hope' recipients at Bikaner House in New Delhi. The jury chose 25 artists from throughout the country. Hyundai has also offered the 25 recipients Rs. 1 lakh grant. It also highlighted the art subject of Solidarity, Hope, and Gratitude.

'Art for Hope': Initiative to encourage artists

The initiative is currently hosting a four-day exhibition at Bikaner House showcasing an unparalleled experience of India's heritage from multidisciplinary art fields created by the artists. The initiative has been started to support and encourage traditional artisans, small art businesses, and traditional art forms.

‘Art for Hope’, based on three pillars

Puneet Anand, associate vice-president (corporate affairs) at Hyundai Motors India Ltd. stated, "By embracing the worldwide vision of 'Progress for Humanity,' we are trying to create a platform that will allow artisans to showcase their skills." The 'Art for Hope' event is based on three pillars: Hope, Gratitude, and Solidarity, to assist artists in showcasing their work and becoming a beacon of hope for the Indian artist community.

Further, he added, "We intend to promote artists from a variety of disciplines, including digital arts, crafts, multidisciplinary arts, performance arts, and visual arts,"
