Mizoram has started a bus service to Tripura called “Unity”




Mizoram on Monday 9 may launch an inter-state bus service connecting neighbouring Tripura.

Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga said his government will work harder to improve road connectivity with neighbouring states as he launched a bus service from Aizawl to Tripura.

The ‘unity’ bus service will run between Aizawl and Behliangchhip town in Tripura North district’s Jampui Hills.

It would be available from Aizawl on Mondays and Thursdays, and from Behlianchhip on Tuesdays and Fridays

“The government has taken a number of steps to establish a healthy relationship with its neighbouring states and countries,” said the chief minister.Officials added that efforts are also being made to launch transportation services between Aizawl and Churachanpur in Manipur and Tahan in Myanmar.

Zoramthanga expressed gratitude to the Tripura government for its cooperation

The event was also attended by Deputy Speaker Lalrinawma, Transport Minister TJ Lalnuntluanga, Tourism Minister Robert Romawia Royte, and three legislators-Lalrinsanga Ralte, Ramthanmawia, and Zothantluanga.

The ruling Mizo National Front campaigned on the integration of all Zo tribes through various means, including people-to-people contact via road connectivity (MNF).

According to officials, the Mizoram government is also working to establish transportation services between Aizawl and Churachanpur in Manipur and Tahan in Myanmar. Zoramthanga expressed gratitude to the Tripura government for its cooperation.
