President on visit to Nagaland on Nov 2-3, inaugurate several projects



According to officials, President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Nagaland on November 2 for a two-day visit.

This will be her first visit to the state since taking office.

On November 2, the state government will honour her with a civic reception at Capital Cultural Hall. The President will virtually open newly built government schools, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) roads, and the Kohima Super Market.

She will also meet with state ministers at the Raj Bhavan on November 2, followed by a state banquet at the chief minister’s residential complex. The President will visit the Kohima War Cemetery and Kigwema, one of the oldest Angami villages located about 15 kilometres from the state capital, on Thursday.

On President Droupadi Murmu arrival at Assam Rifles Helipad, President Murmu was received by Assam and Nagaland Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, Chief Secretary J Alam, and senior state officials.
