
India has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the 61st member country to join the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ). The Agricultural Journalists Association of India (AJAI) received this honor during a trip to attend the Master Class and Global Congress organized by IFAJ in Calgary, Canada.
MC Dominic, the President of the Agricultural Journalists Association of India (AJAI), proudly represented India during the recent Master Class and Global Congress organized by the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) in Calgary, Canada. This event marked a significant moment for India as it officially joined IFAJ as the 61st member country.
India’s Membership Application Accepted with Pride
The IFAJ Executive Committee wholeheartedly accepted the membership application from AJAI, with President MC Dominic waving the tricolor flag on the stage. This achievement fills India with immense pride and highlights its growing presence in the field of agricultural journalism. MC Dominic expressed his joy, stating, “Yes, we made it! We are now the 61st member of IFAJ.”
Corteva Agriscience, a long-standing supporter of IFAJ, has been instrumental in facilitating global agricultural journalism through initiatives like the Master Class program. During his visit to Calgary, MC Dominic actively participated in the Master Class, held from June 24 to 26, where he joined 17 exceptional journalists from around the world dedicated to covering agriculture news. The Global Congress meet, sponsored by Corteva Agriscience and Alltech, provided a platform for journalists to learn about local agricultural practices and engage in professional development sessions.
Expressing his gratitude, an emotional MC Dominic said, “I don’t know how to express my gratitude to the agriculture fraternity across India. We’ve come a long way.” This achievement is a testament to the growth and dedication of Indian agricultural journalists in contributing to the field.
