Ravi Kumari joined the Maa Sahodara Self-Help Group to change her family’s financial circumstances. With guidance and support from the group, she took her first step toward entrepreneurship, using skills such as tailoring, vegetable farming, and handicraft-making. Additionally, she ventured into vegetable vending and even purchased an e-rickshaw, significantly boosting her income.

Ravi Kumari’s multiple streams of income reflect her hard work and determination:
- Agriculture: ₹55,000 per year
- Tailoring: ₹36,000 per year
- Vegetable Farming: ₹24,000 per year
- Handicrafts (ThalPos Making): ₹15,000 per year
- Vegetable Business: ₹1,80,000 per year
- E-Rickshaw Service: ₹1,20,000 per year
- Today, her annual household income stands at an impressive ₹4.43 lakh.
Building a Better Future
With the help of the mission, Ravi Kumari accessed bank loans up to ₹3 lakh to set up her ventures. Now, she not only supports her family but also ensures her children receive quality education. Her success has boosted her confidence and enabled her to become a role model for women in her community.

Recalling her earlier struggles, Ravi Kumari shares that her family’s sole income of ₹55,000 from farming barely met their needs. Joining the self-help group gave her the skills and resources needed to diversify her income sources and escape the cycle of poverty.
