What is Rajshree Yojana?

Under this scheme, parents or guardians of girls are provided financial assistance of up to Rs. 50,000 for their upbringing and education. However, there are certain conditions to avail of this scheme.

These benefits are provided in six phases:

  • At Birth: Upon the birth of a girl child, parents receive ₹2,500.
    • 1 Year After Vaccination: An additional ₹2,500 is given after the child’s first year vaccinations.
    • Admission to First Class: When the girl enters the first standard, she receives ₹4,000.
    • Admission to Sixth Class: Upon admission to the sixth standard, she is entitled to ₹5,000.
    • Admission to Tenth Class: When she enters the tenth standard, she receives ₹11,000.
    • Admission to Twelfth Class: Finally, upon admission to the twelfth class, she is eligible for a substantial amount of ₹25,000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The girl child must be a resident of Rajasthan.
  • She must be born on or after June 1, 2016.
  • The birth should have occurred in a government or private medical institution registered with the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY).
  • Only two girl children per family are eligible.
  • The girl’s parents must possess an Aadhaar Card and a Bhamashah Card.

  • Bhamashah/Aadhaar cards of parents.
  • Aadhaar card of the beneficiary girl.
  • Birth certificate of the girl child.
  • School admission certificate.

Application Process

Applying for the Rajshree Yojana can be done both online and offline. For online application, visit the Jan Kalyan portal and click on the Rajshree Yojana tab. Login and provide the required information such as the girl’s birth certificate number, Bhamashah card number, and Aadhar card number. Upload the necessary documents and submit the application. For offline application, visit any government hospital in Rajasthan or contact designated health officers in your district or tehsil. Fill out the application form with accurate information and submit it along with the required documents.
