THE DELHI GOVERNMENT PLANS TO ESTABLISH A SCIENCE INNOVATION HUB TO ENCOURAGE SCIENCE CULTURE

The Delhi government is planning to establish a “Science Innovation Hub” at a school in Kautilya Enclave. The club has an auditorium, a library, a planetarium, a science and technology museum, and many more.

Concerning the project’s cost

In two and a half years, the Science Innovation Hub would be completed at a cost of about Rs 5 crore. It will have an auditorium, a planetarium, a library, and a museum with science and technology artefacts, art and model experiential galleries of the latest developments and trends, collectibles, instruments, simulation system equipment, and content.

Who will develop the innovation hub?

The Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) has tasked the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) with the construction and development of the Science Innovation Hub. It will be built on a 30,000-square-meter plot at Chirag Enclave’s Kautilya Sarvodaya Co-education School.

For exhibitions, world-class experimental infrastructure is available

For exhibitions and museums, the Science Innovation Hub will serve as a world-class science experimental infrastructure. It will also serve as a major centre for the dissemination of research and the harnessing of the potential of new communication technologies for societal benefit.
