The Board of Control for Cricket in India has invited applications for the post of Head Coach of the Senior Men's Team.

At present the head coach of Team India is Rahul Dravid. But T20 World Cup 2024 will be his last assignment.

BCCI has started searching for a new head coach. The last date to apply for the post of head coach is 27th May.

The tenure of the new head coach will be three and a half years.

According to media reports, BCCI has informally approached Ricky Ponting and Stephen Fleming for the next Indian head coach position.

To become a head coach, a candidate should have played at least 30 Test matches or 50 ODI matches

Or the candidate must have been the head coach of a full member test playing country for at least 2 years.

Or the candidate should have been the coach of any Associate Member team / any IPL team or any such league or first class team or A team of any country for 3 years.

Apart from this, level-3 certificate holder of BCCI coaching can also apply.
