According to Taste Atlas, India's Rasmalai secured the 2nd position in Best Cheese Desserts' worldwide.


This delightful sweet treat, originating from West Bengal.

Rasmalai’s distinctiveness lies in chhena, made by curdling milk with lemon juice or vinegar.

These chhena balls are simmered in a light sugar syrup before being bathed in Rabdi.

Claimed that Krishna Chandra Das, invented Rasmalai in the early 20th century. 

The Sen brothers of Matri Bhandar in Bangladesh emphasize their role in popularizing this dessert, even applying for a GI tag.

 It symbolizes prosperity and indulgence, making it a fitting way to celebrate joyous events like Diwali, Holi and weddings.

Rasmalai’s delightful combination of chhena, Rabdi and rich history has earned it a place among the world’s best cheese desserts!
