Sunita Williams is set to fly into space for the third time.

She will be the pilot of Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft.

The mission aims to test the spacecraft’s system from launch to landing and back to Earth.

This will be the first crewed flight of the Starliner spacecraft

Williams and her colleague Butch Wilmore will launch aboard Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft atop an Atlas V rocket.

The launch is scheduled for May 7, 2024, at 8:04 am IST from Cape Canaveral’s Space Launch Complex-41.

If successful, the spacecraft will be authorized for routine space missions as part of NASA’s commercial crew program.

Williams is a veteran of two space missions: Expeditions 14/15 and 32/33

During her first spaceflight, she established a world record for females with four spacewalks totaling 29 hours and 17 minutes
