India will launch an e-medical visa facility for Bangladeshi nationals seeking medical treatment in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the decision after meeting Indian and Bangladeshi delegations in New Delhi.

 Additionally, India plans to      open a new consulate in Rangpur, Bangladesh, to cater to the northwest      region of the country.

India and Bangladesh have cooperated on several developmental programs over the past year.

India and Bangladesh have initiated trading in Indian Rupees and are exporting electricity from Nepal to Bangladesh via the Indian grid.

Technical-level discussions will begin to renew the Ganga River treaty and a technical team will visit Bangladesh to review the protection and management of the Teesta River.

The world's longest river   cruise on the Ganges River between India and Bangladesh has been      completed.
