The latest Financial Times Executive Education rankings have revealed a mixed bag of results for Indian business schools.

FT rankings divided into two categories
According to the FT website, these rankings were not released in 2021 due to “pressures on schools and their clients in the pandemic and the disruption to data gathering,” and instead a directory of notable schools was released.
The FT rankings are divided into two categories: open, which means that anyone can enrol, and custom, which means that these programmes can be tailored to the needs of the client organisation.
India fared better in customised programmes, with the Indian School of Business breaking into the top 50 this year, rising from 64th in 2020 to 38th this year.
IIM Bangalore and Ahmedabad improved their rankings to 43rd and 50th, respectively, from 52nd and 52nd in 2020, with IIM Ahmedabad not appearing in the 2020 edition. IIM Calcutta does not appear on the list for 2022, despite being ranked 65th in 2020.
