INDIAN MATHEMATICIAN NEENA GUPTA RECEIVED RAMANUJAN PRIZE FOR YOUNG MATHEMATICIANS OF DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
Neena Gupta is a Professor of Mathematics at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Prof. Gupta has been awarded the 2021 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan prize for Young Mathematicians from Developing Countries for her outstanding work in affine combinatorial algebraic geometry and commutative algebra. Prof. Gupta is the third woman to receive the Ramanujan Award since it was instituted in 2005.
