The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2022 concluded in Mumbai. Where ‘Pushpa: The Rise,’ a huge success starring South Indian superstar Allu Arjun, was named Film of the Year. Simultaneously, Ranveer Singh won the Best Actor Award. Ranveer received the title for his role in the film ’83’. At the same time, actress Kriti Sanon won the Best Actress Award for her performance in the film ‘Mimi.’
The Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2022
The DPIIF 2022 was held at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The award show celebrated the grandeur of Indian Cinema, while also commemorating the 75 years of Independence – Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Several renowned Bollywood and television personalities attended the 68th Dadasaheb Phalke Awards. They were honored for their contributions to Indian film.
Ranveer Singh receives the award for the film ‘83’
Ranveer Singh received the Best Actor Award for his outstanding performance in the film 83, a sports drama. The film is a biographical recreation of India’s historic World Cup victory in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. Ranveer Singh played the role of the legendary cricketer and former Indian Captain, Kapil Dev in the film.
After receiving the award for the film 83, Ranveer Singh took to Twitter and expressed his gratitude saying, “Honoured to receive the ‘Best Actor award for ‘83’ at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film

The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to recognize and support the most innovative artists, creators, and filmmakers.
