The Karnataka Department of Primary and Secondary Education created the "Nanna Shale Nanna Koduge" app. On February 14, 2022, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will launch the app.

What is the purpose of the Nanna Shale Nanna Koduge app?

The Nanna Shale Nanna Koduge app (which means 'My School, My Contribution' in English) will be introduced to help with infrastructural needs in government schools, optimal use of hearing aids, teacher shortages, and the utilization of CSR funding.

This app will aid numerous departments in approximately 80 organizations in Karnataka that are aiming to improve schools and school education.

On the app, you may get information about any government school.
It will also include a list of requirements for government schools.

The app's goal

The software developed with the goal of making donations accessible to people all around the world. Its goal is to instil a sense of ownership among the general public, stakeholders, and alumni. It also aims to improve the public school system. It also intends to provide schools with rapid and easy access without the need for a human interaction.

What is the functionality of this app?

There are two windows in the app: one for donors and one for schools. After logging onto the app, donors will see a list of schools organized by need. After picking a school, they will be given the choice of
donating material or money. To make the best use of funds, there would be set deadlines.

Construction of smart classrooms

The Karnataka government has also requested businesses and non-profits to assist in the construction of smart classrooms in 43000 primary schools.

Capital expenditures for development

A total investment of Rs 875 crore will be required for the initiative, with each school receiving Rs 200,000. By the 2024-25 academic year, the department hopes to have built at least 100 schools. Rs 50 crore has been set aside under the Jalajeevan Mission to provide drinking water and build toilets in schools.
