In the presence of NABARD Chairman GR Chintala, MLAs Chau Zingnu Namchoom and Jummum Ete Deori, Namsai DC RK Sharma, and others, the project was launched.
“In order to make credit-linked schemes and cultivation of plantation crops viable, more awareness needs to be generated among the farmers regarding cultivation and production, and market connections for their produces,” Mein stated while praising the NABARD for being a vital partner in the state’s development.

Union Budget 2022-23

Mein stated that this year’s union budget was particularly encouraging for farmers, women, and youths as it included provisions to increase investment, growth, and job creation. It also aspires to modernise the farm industry by ensuring credit, setting new MSP records, expanding food processing, and stimulating new business ventures.

He also stated that Arunachal Pradesh is expected to benefit from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Development North East initiatives, which will see an initial allocation of Rs 1500 crore implemented through the National Economic Council and the new Vibrant Village Programme, which will aid in the development of border villages.
