The Rojgar Mission will be launched by the Chhattisgarh government to create jobs. In the next five years, the mission hopes to create 15 lakh job possibilities in the state. Key Features of the mission
Experts from IITs, IIITs, and IIMs would be involved in the expedition. It will be chaired by the state’s Chief Minister. The mission’s chief secretary and principal secretary of state are also active participants.
In this mission headed by the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain will be in the role of Vice President. At the same time, Principal Secretary Alok Shukla will work as CEO. Apart from these, the Minor Forest Produce Federation and other senior officers of the State will work as its members.
Committee in charge of implementation
The chairman is the main minister. The state’s Chief Secretary serves as vice chairman, while the principal secretary serves as Chief Executive Officer. The managing director of the state’s minor forest produce federation will also be on the committee.
Outcomes
In the next five years, the mission is estimated to generate 12 to 15 lakh job opportunities. In minor forest products, the state has already excelled. Chhattisgarh won 10 national honours for procurement, processing, and performance in 2021. It has also performed admirably in the implementation of the Van Dhan Yojana. This is an area on which the committee will concentrate more. This will help to increase employment in the area of minor forest products, which will mostly benefit tribals .
