Khadi and Village Industries Commission is the acronym for KVIC. It is run by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, MSME . Handmade use and toss paper slippers, as well as khadi infant wear slippers, were recently introduced.

Khadi baby clothes

The KVIC has incorporated baby wear for the first time. Baby clothes made of Khadi can be worn by children as young as two years old. It’s made of khadi cotton that’s been handwoven. The cotton is of the highest possible grade. It’s gentle on the skin and breathable. It is environmentally beneficial because it is made of natural fibres. The baby gear is made without the use of hazardous dyes or chemical treatments.

Use and toss Slippers Made with Paper

The product was created to help the handmade paper sector flourish. The launch will help to strengthen the country’s traditional arts. The artisans will be able to work as a result of it. The slippers are made of a thick, supple paperboard. These boards are produced by hand. This is a brand-new item. As a result, it is predicted to be well received by consumers.
Paper slippers have a variety of uses and can be thrown.
For the first time, these slippers were created. They are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. They are most appropriate for usage in residences, hospitals, hotels, and laboratories. There are two types of them. They’re slip-on and flip-flop shoes.

What was the purpose of introducing the products?

Diversifying the product line, increasing Khadi fabric usage, and providing income to Khadi artisans are all goals.

Units of Production for the Products

On Makar Sankranti, a paper slipper manufacturing factory will be erected near Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is intended for visitors to the temple. The slippers will set you back Rs 50. PM Modi’s visit to the temple sparked the idea for the paper shoes. When the Prime Minister went to the temple, he saw that people work there barefoot. This is due to the fact that rubber and leather items are prohibited on temple grounds.
