The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita expresses the nature of the soul and the Supreme Soul. The thoughts of Lord Krishna give proper understanding to man. It determines itself, paves the way for its attainment and the attainment of this transcendental knowledge leads to the end of many disorders.

In Haryana, from the next academic year, recitation of verses of Bhagavad Gita will be taught in state schools. State Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced this at the International Gita Mahotsav. He said that the verses of the Gita would be part of the syllabus of classes V and VII. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also participated in this Gita Mahotsav program.

'Gita Mahotsav will go to the international level'
During the program, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that youth should bring the essence of Gita in their lives. He said that a message has been given in the Gita for all of us. Apart from this, he also announced to take the annual International Gita Mahotsav on a large scale. CM Khattar said that a museum on Mahabharata theme is being built at a cost of Rs 205 crore on two acres of land at 'Geetasthali' in Jyotisar. According to the Chief Minister, from next year, like Ramlila, Krishna Utsav will also be organized during the International Gita Festival.

Program will run for 6 days
According to CM Manohar Lal Khattar, in this festival, which lasts for about six days, different events related to the life of Lord Krishna will be shown through a tableau. CM Khattar told that a light sound show will also be done in it. The Chief Minister said that Bhagavad Gita is also a source of inspiration for the freedom fighters of the country.
Including Bhagavad Gita in the school curriculum and teaching students how to recite the ‘slogans’ of Bhagawad Gita will not only revive the Indian culture but will also inculcate moral values in the children.
