CBSE was named the winner of the Digital India Awards for 2022

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the most prominent education board in India. This board graduates over 35 lakh students from secondary school each year.CBSE is known for quality education and the depth of subjects in coursework. CBSE received the Gold Digital India Award 2022 for Parinam Manjusha, a digital academic repository initiative. CBSE The data exchange and usage category of the awards chose the information technology project for the socio-economic development category. Ashwini Vaishnav, the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, as well as Antriksh Joshi, Director of IT and Projects at the CBSE, and Kamal Kumar Khandelwal, Joint Secretary IT, were present when President Draupadi Murmu delivered the award.

Manjusha, what exactly is the result?

Result Manjusha is an online repository that serves as a central store for examination result data. It was built and implemented by the CBSE IT Department and combined with the National e-Governance Division’s DigiLocker (NeGD). The webpage contains information on board exam results from 2001 to 2022, as well as Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) results from 2018 onwards. Academic records are available for students to see and download, and admissions and counseling, educational institutions, and recruitment businesses can use them to verify information. All papers are digitally signed and feature PKI-based QR codes for authentication.

Furthermore, CBSE aims to submit to the portal the results of students dating back to 1975. The goal of Result Box is to make it easier for students to obtain their old original papers and to speed up the procedure, which is time-consuming with the physical access method. Digital versions of academic records such as grade reports, diplomas, immigration paperwork, and skill certifications can be downloaded alongside student results.

What are the Digital India Awards?

The Digital India Awards are to honor the technological innovation created by government organizations all over India. The Digital India Award—Gold 2022 is CBSE’s second award, following the 2018 award, that acknowledges the board’s exceptional online services. The Digital India Awards were established under the organization of the
National Portal of India, which enables single-window access to information and services supplied by institutions of the Government of India at all levels. The portal was conceived, developed, and administered by the National Informatics Center (NIC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. The nomination of digital projects by government bodies for the Digital India Awards is done through the National Awards Portal, which is overseen by the Director General of Awards at the
Ministry of Home Affairs.

CBSE receiving this award is remarkable because the government of India’s efforts to provide the best education has yielded visible results. The lockdown and COVID periods hampered children’s education, but after COVID, the development and initiative to improve current education are remarkable. We can see that integrating technology and creating digital technology that benefits both students and the government is a great change. The board of education, which is trusted by millions of people, is making progress in this advanced world. A cause that doesn’t benefit one way but benefits both ways is the development that is needed, and that is what we are
