World Architecture Day Significance 2022
Architecture encompasses all aspects of human life, not just buildings and projects. Architecture has a wide range of effects on society and is critical to the advancement of the human race. We may not think about and appreciate architects and architecture very much, so it was felt important to dedicate a day to this. The World Architecture Day was created with this goal in mind, and it aims to celebrate and honour the entire architecture industry. Every year on the first Monday of October, it is observed.
History of World Architecture Day Celebration
The International Union of Architects established World Architecture Day in 1985. (UIA). The day was created to draw the attention of the general public and professionals to issues concerning cities and habitat, and it was decided to coincide with the UN World Habitat Day. As a result, it was decided that World Architecture Day would be celebrated on the first Monday of October, the same day as UN World Habitat Day.
World Architecture Day Theme 2022
The theme of World Architecture Day 2022 is Architecture for Well-Being, which corresponds to 2022 being designated as the UIA Year of Design for Health. The theme was chosen to reinforce the union’s commitment to promoting health in buildings and cities through evidence-based design.
