The Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) and Burlington English recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). As a result of the collaboration, students will receive assistance in developing global competencies in the English language, allowing them to be confident and future-ready.

The Innovation in Communication programme will focus on bolstering schools' efforts to create an immersive English language learning environment while also increasing the capacity of respective school teachers through digital and offline interventions.

More than 200 students will receive assistance in developing English language communication

As part of this collaboration, more than 200 students will receive all-around assistance in developing English language communication, which will be powered by cutting-edge technology. Students in other Delhi government schools that are not yet affiliated with the DBSE will have access to a variety of learning opportunities. While Classes 1–5 would work to improve language acquisition by integrating content and technology to improve the way the English language is learned, covering interesting themes, Classes 9–12 would aim to improve students' spoken English skills to support their future skilling and employability needs.

Himanshu Gupta, Director of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, said: " We are pleased to partner with Burlington English to deliver learning opportunities to our students and teachers. It is important for 21st-century learners to communicate in English confidently. This opens up a plethora of opportunities for them in the future. We have initiated Project Voices in Delhi government schools to boost students’ confidence and communication skills.”

Ratnesh Jha, Chief Executive Officer, The Burlington Group of Companies, said, “Acquiring global competency in the English language is a necessity in today’s fast-paced world, and we believe such a programme will deepen our commitment to providing an effective educational platform that every child deserves.

Burlington's Innovation in Communication programme will also strengthen teacher capacities and provide them with tools to improve learning outcomes. Debating programmes will be organised in addition to these efforts to engage students and provide them with a platform to showcase their language skills.
