Tips Given by IAS Officer for Civil Services Main Exam



Awanish Sharan, an IAS officer who has inspired thousands of young people preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, has given five surefire mantras to candidates preparing for the Civil Services Main Examination.

He wrote on Twitter, “For Civil Services Main Examination-
1. Review the syllabus several times.
2. Only read standard books.
3. Complete the previous ten years’ question paper within the time limit.
4. Invest twice as much time in writing as in studying.
5. Pay attention to your ‘handwriting’ and try to avoid’spelling mistakes.’

The UPSC Main Exam 2022 will be held on September 16, 2022.

About IAS Avneesh

Avneesh had made it to the interview round of the UPSC Civil Services Examination on his first attempt. He finished 77th overall in his second attempt. Avneesh’s success story motivates many young people who are preparing for various recruitment exams, including the UPSC. Avneesh also frequently provides them with advice via social media. Chhattisgarh cadre officers from the 2009 batch scored 44.7 percent in 10th grade, 65 percent in 12th grade, and 60 percent in graduation. He had failed both the CDS and the CPF recruitment examinations. 

He failed the State Public Service Commission preliminary examination more than ten times. Despite these setbacks, he did not give up and successfully completed the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
