The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has teamed up with the rapidly expanding legal education startup LawSikho to offer skill development programmes that align with the NSDC's mission and help India's growing demand for skilled labourers and close the skills gap.

In the presence of Ramanuj Mukherjee, Abhyuday Agarwal, and Siddhant Baid, co-founders of LawSikho, and Ved Mani Tiwari, COO and acting CEO of NSDC, an agreement signing ceremony was held on June 22, 2022 at the NSDC offices in Aerocity, New Delhi. The ceremony was hosted by Honey Pamnani from the NSDC team responsible for strategic partnerships and impact investments. Over the course of three years, the cooperation will benefit over 10,000 students.

Areas where LawSikho focus on

Under this programme, LawSikho will concentrate on educating students from tier-2, tier-3 cities, small towns, and villages in India about cutting-edge digital skills that can lead to remote employment, freelance possibilities, internships, and other career outcomes for students.

The learners will have the chance to take advantage of talent arbitrage jobs, where they can work with clients and employers in foreign nations after gaining appropriate skills thanks to the booming remote job & freelancing industry, in addition to career chances in India. In addition to facilitating low-interest skill loans and helping students find opportunities through various NSDC networks, NSDC will offer joint certification for a variety of courses.

Lauding the partnership, Ved Mani Tiwari, Chief Operating Officer and Officiating CEO, NSDC, said, "This collaboration with LawSikho is a step towards fulfilling the need for a skilled workforce in India and narrowing the existing gap between the demand and supply of the future skills. I am certain that this collaboration holds huge growth potential for both the organizations, and the learners and provide strategic support to LawSikho under this partnership."
