Haryana’s government announced on Monday a COVID-19 precautionary dose for beneficiaries aged 18-59 in the state, as well as a Rs 300 crore expenditure for the same.
Haryana’s Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DPR) announced on its official Twitter account. It was stated that the vaccination would be provided free of charge at government hospitals and centers.
Emphasizing the state’s people’s health, Chief Minister ML Khattar has announced a free booster dose for adult residents in the age category of 18 years to 59 years, carrying the COVID immunization program forward,” the DPR noted in a Hindi tweet.
“In Haryana, there are around 1.2 crore beneficiaries in the above-mentioned age bracket. In another tweet, it stated that “about Rs, 300 crores will be spent on this, which will be funded by the state from the Covid Relief Fund.”

To provide the advantage of a prophylactic dose to all eligible beneficiaries in Delhi, the same will be available free of charge in all government CVCs starting April 21, 2022,” according to a statement from the Delhi government.
Precaution dose is available to anyone above the age of 18 and up
On April 10, the Union Health Ministry introduced the precautionary third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at private vaccination centers for anyone aged 18 and up. The precaution dosage is available to anyone above the age of 18 who has completed nine months since the second dose was administered.
The SII announced a day before the precaution dosage that the price of their COVID vaccine Covishield for private hospitals had been reduced from Rs 600 to Rs 225 per dose.
The Centre has also permitted private COVID-19 vaccination centers to charge a service fee of up to Rs 150 for immunization, in addition to the vaccine cost.
