As per a study, breaking the contemporary mindset about jobs, the young professionals prefer remaining jobless rather than doing a job in which they need to compromise their personal satisfaction.
The Randstad work office inquired 35,000 individuals from 34 nations on their view of the world of work. The researchers found that one third of 18-35 year olds are seeking out for a job. In spite of this dubious circumstance, they are not willing to compromise their personal growth in order to pursue a career. 40% of Gen Zs and 38% of Millennials say they’d rather be unemployed than stuck in a work that creates them despondent. In comparison, as it were 25% of Infant Boomers say they are willing to do the same.
The demanding professionals
The young professionals are very clear about the fact that they would want to do a job for which they are passionate about and that would allow them to learn and grow constantly. The demand doesn’t end here. The study also shows that nearly 50% of Gen Zs and Millennials would rather prefer to deny their jobs for an organization that do not have socio-environmental issues like social justice & combating global warming as part of their core values or if they are not making efforts in the direction of diversity & equality.
This demanding attitude of these young professionals might definitely come up as a surprise or rebellion for the veterans, but this indicates their desires to change the way in which the world works. They want to bring in their whole self to their jobs along with a strong determination to not compromise on their personal satisfaction and values.
