Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Jal Shakti, unveiled the ‘Digital Dashboard for District Ganga Committees (DGCs) Performance Monitoring System’ (GDPMS) on April 6, 2022.
Overview:
G Asok Kumar, Director General of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), was also present during the launch.
Representatives from more than 100 District Ganga Committees(DGC) were in attendance through virtual mode at the launch event.
The objective of this dashboard
The digital dashboard was created with the goal of assisting DGCs in improving the people’s connection to the Ganga River.
About District Ganga Committees
In all of the Ganga River basin districts, District Ganga Committees were formed with the goal of establishing a system to ensure public engagement in pollution management and cleaning of the River Ganga and its tributaries.
