Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has launched MyGov Jammu and Kashmir to promote citizen interaction and realise the objective of "Good Governance" in India's first Union Territory. Virtually attending the event were Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, J-K, Prerna Puri, Secretary IT, J-K, Abhishek Singh, CEO, MyGov, and a number of other officials.

Background of MyGov portal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched MyGov on July 26, 2014, with the goal of bringing the government closer to the people by building an interface for a healthy exchange of ideas and perspectives on India's social and economic transformation.

MyGov Platform Information

In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the MyGov portal. The goal of this launch was to bring the government closer to the people of India by developing an interface that could be utilized for a healthy interchange of thoughts and ideas, with the goal of improving India both economically and socially.

This platform currently has over 2.29 million registered users. They're known as MyGov Saathis, and they work closely with MyGov, sharing all of their views and ideas on a number of policy topics. On this platform, they also take part in quizzes, pledges, and sweepstakes.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, MyGov has shown to be a reliable source of information for residents across the country.


MyGov has been adopted in the following states:

MyGov has been adopted in 15 states. Maharashtra, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Chhattisgarh, Tripura, Nagaland, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, and Uttar Pradesh are the states in this group. MyGov Jammu and Kashmir is the new UT to use the MyGov platform. This is also the first time the MyGov platform has been used in a university.
