The Bharat Edtech Initiative uses EdTech to overcome the learning gap for underprivileged students. As part of their objective to bridge the learning gap, the Bharat EdTech Initiative has successfully onboarded 117,000 students from low-income households onto its EdTech platform. The initiative offers a comprehensive approach to EdTech, raising awareness, implementing proven solutions, expanding acceptance with parental support, and making solutions more accessible. A primary priority area of the program is ensuring fair access for girls.
Bharat Edtech: Bridging the learning loss
In the previous 2 years, everything went online, even the education system. Privileged ones, however, managed the learning gap using technology, but at last, the victim became the underprivileged with no means of technology. The Bharat EdTech is now bridging this loss of education the students went through during the hard days. Through equitable and efficient access to Edtech, the project is providing the students with the resources they need to bridge the learning they missed in the last 2 years, as they return to school in April 2022.
Edtech provides flexibility with the learning
Within five months of launching on-the-ground initiatives, these achievements were accomplished throughout ten states. Students may learn in a language of their choice at any time and from any location (9 languages).
Edtech aims to provide digital learning available to all students in India
According to the World Bank, 70% of children worldwide are living in learning poverty as a result of the COVID pandemic. Prolonged school closures and low academic performance have mostly contributed to this increase. The Bharat EdTech Initiative (BEI) intends to address these learning gaps by making digital learning available to all students in India via proven EdTech solutions.
Four pillars of the Edtech initiative
This nationwide initiative is led by four organizations that provide strategic direction on the Initiative’s overall administration and implementation. Sattva Consulting is the initiative’s primary anchor. Lead contributors include the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and the British Asian Trust, with GiveIndia assisting with donor contacts and money administration.
