by admin

Read Time: 1 minute

Inspiration4 is all set to rewrite history in the space. Elon Musk's SpaceX stated on Friday that its first all-civilian, non-government spaceflight, 'Inspiration4', is all set to be launched on September 15.
NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida is preparing to launch the Crew Dragon spacecraft. A group of four civilians will be sent into space for three days, each representing a different aspect of the task.

Each individual stands for a specific aspect

Generosity will be represented by Chris Sembroski, a retired US Air Force officer, Hope by Hayley Arceneaux, a physician assistant at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Prosperity by Dr. Sian Proctor, a professor of Geoscience. Jared Isaacman, the mission's benefactor, is the final member of the crew.

What is Inspiration4 and how does it work?

Jared Isaacman, the creator of the the fintech firm Shift4 Payments, has purchased all four seats on the spacecraft. This is part of a campaign to raise millions for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Tennessee, a pediatric treatment center and research center focusing on severe children's diseases, including leukemia and other cancers.

What will be observed during the trip?

The expedition will provide an opportunity to gather significant health related data. This will help to plan future crewed space missions.
Data on ECG activity, blood oxygen saturation, movement, sleep, heart rate and rhythm will be observed mostly. This will aid in measuring behavioral and cognitive changes during the flight.
Inspiration 4 is the first of its type to travel across the space and open the door for stunning industry breakthroughs.
